Anorexia Nervosa
- Anorexia Nervosa is categorized by extreme weight loss or low weight
- An obsessed out look on weight, and or fear of gaining weight or eating too much
- Body dysmorphia is prevalent
- Restricting of food or calories by occur
- Binging and purging may also occur
- Can cause harm to heart and other bodily organs if untreated
Bulimia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa is categorized by binging and purging and using methods to purge the food
- This can include vomiting, laxative use, and overexercising
- Can also have body dysmorphia and other esteem issues
- If frequnt purging occurs, dental damage can occur
Binge Eating Disorder
- Binge Eating Disorder is categorized by consuming mass amounts of food and using methods to prevent weight gain
- This can include vomiting, but does not always
- Guilt feelings about eating can occur
OSFED Other Specifed Feeding or Eating Disorder
- OSFED can involve a combination of eating disorders and symptoms
- Does not fit the conventional eating disorders
- Can contain symptoms of many types of eating disorders, but all criterion are not met.
